Warner Bros. signed a licensing agreement for the book images when the book was with Harvard University Press. When the book was with University of Nebraska Press, I went back to Warner Bros. to renew the licensing. I spent months emailing them with no reply. I paid more than a thousand dollars to a legal permissions group who secured permission by email. But then Warner Bros. wanted to read almost the entire book. Just a few months away from printing the book, Warner Bros. sent a letter to the legal group explicitly stating I cannot publish these images in the book. I can, however, publish them here. I wish they were in the book, and this is the best I can do at sharing them with you.
